La durabilité métropolitaine: une modélisation multi-échelle et multi-agents

Period: 2007 - 2009

A multi-agent simulation model (SimpopNano) is designed for comparing the locations of urban functions inside European and North-American cities over the period 1800-2000 (PhD by Thomas Louail, 2010). The different urban morphologies, according to the geometry of city map and accessibility differentials provided by circulation speed are sufficient to explain the larger inequalities of land use intensity in European cities than in American ones.
