Agriculture of tomorrow?

Period: 2012- 2013

During the period 2011-2014, the National Program on the Seine (PIREN-Seine) develops a research axis dedicated to agriculture of/for tomorrow in the Seine basin. The contribution of the UMR Géographie-Cités (S. Barles dir., S. Bognon, P. Marty) for 2012-2013 consists, together with the UMR Sisyphe, in the analysis of Paris food system on the basis of the territorial ecology approach, particularly by defining Paris food supply areas and describing the related nitrogen flows. In addition, and in order to identify levers for change and the key-actors in food chains (processing, distribution, marketing, consumption), the project aims at analysing the innovative experiments in terms of food proximity.
